Your usage of theory was still wrong. Theory is the analysis of a set of facts, and observed phenomena, and their relationship to one another given a set of TRUE statements, a hypothesis, something you do while hypothesizing not theorizing, is a testable assumption from which you wish to hone in on the facts or true statements from rejecting a false null hypothesis without committing a type 1, or 2 error. Not to be pedantic, anyway...
