Carbofuran sold as Furadan is being used to kill Kenya's lions. It alone could reduce Kenya's tiny population of lions to extinction within only 20 years. Produced in the USA where it is now banned, carbofuran is the poison of choice because it is cheap, effective and cannot be detected by lions. WildlifeDirect is calling for a total ban on carbofuran in Kenya. If it is not safe enough for Americans, then it's not safe enough for Kenyans.
