Inspired by his collaboration with De Toppers and the success the Top 5 hit 'Shine' brought them, DJ John Marks has embarked on a new adventure. With the John Marks Project, he means to realise a great number of these exciting combos with celebs in pop business, from both The Netherlands and abroad. The first single he produced, a coop between Marks and none other than René Froger, was a new version of the Peter Gabriel classic 'Sledgehammer' and released a few weeks ago. The second single the Project will be releasing, was produced with Holland's most famous Diva: Patricia Paay.
Patricia Paay has agreed to record this new single, over 20 years after her last solo hit-release. It is a remake of her greatest hit 'Who's that Lady with my Man'. As of August 26th, the single will be circulated exclusively in 50.000 issues of the Dutch magazine LINDA.Mode. After that, in September the single will be available as a download and CD.
The idea for this single came up during a sexy photoshoot the 60-year-old diva and her daughter Christina Curry were having done for LINDA. 'The photos tell a story and during the shoot everyone on the set started humming the song again', Patricia said. 'A rather striking choice, given the current events in my life, you could say. Very applicable, yes, but that is pure coincidence'.
Well-known dance producer, John Marks, produced this single. He was also responsible for producing the current dance record 'Sledgehammer' with René Froger. 'I think John did a great job on this number, as it's not an easy song to work with', Patricia claims enthusiastically.
Mrs Paay doesn't rule out starting a new singing career with this single. 'I'd love to record some more fabulous songs with John, just like Lady Ga Ga did. I am just as nuts as she is, and in more ways than one', she exclaims. 'How about Lady Patricia or Lady Paay!'
From the moment he started his career as a DJ five years ago, DJ John Marks was in his flow, scoring high with hit singles like Tracking', Don't Stop' and Do it Again'. His worldwide success is due to his releases Carnival' and Insanity'. John's motto Give your fans what they ask of you', has made him popular throughout Poland, Russia, Jerusalem and Greece, where Marks is considered an absolute floor filler.
About two years ago, John started looking for ways to combine pop music and dance. He produced a remix of Can You Feel It' by The Jacksons, for the Toppers, which was used as the opening track for Toppers in Concert 2007'. The single made it to 8th place in the Single Top 100.
In 2009, Gordon, René Froger and Jeroen van der Boom, worked with the young DJ again, producing a remix of their Songfestival track Shine'. The Toppers and their managers were so enthused by the outcome, that John was asked to produce the final version for the Eurovision Songfestival.

Finally, after the huge success of INFINITY 2008 here comes the new single of DARREN BAILIE, cofounder of the GURU JOSH PROJECT:
With Infinity 2008' the Guru Josh Project succeed to cause the biggest dance sensation since many years. For weeks the track was blocking the top position of the European Billboard single charts. Besides numerous Gold and Platinum Records from all over Europe the tune just honoured as Best House / Garage Track' at the International Dance Music Awards 2009 in Miami. The official video clip at Youtube has been watched amazingly for over 60 million times...
By this thunderclap Darren Bailie - the cofounder and DJ of Guru Josh Project - catapulted himself straight into the premier league of international top acts and is touring the world as an in demand DJ since then. Just on time for the upcoming summer and exactly one year after the release of Infinity 2008' his brand new hit single is waiting in the wings to kick off his career as a solo artist and capture the international charts once again: Protect Your Mind 2009 (Braveheart)'.
Of course a hymn like Infinity 2008' raised the bar sky high for all ambitions to follow up to this. Since he did not wanted to disappoint the expectations of the fans, Darren Bailie took his time to present a well considered and well engineered new single. As hinted by the title the track is based on the overwhelming soundtrack of Mel Gibsons heroic epic Braveheart' (nominated for the Oscar Best Original Score in 1996).
Although not being a Highlander but of Irish origin, the Braveheart theme is of deep emotional significance to Darren. After all the distinctive beautiful melody emanates from an Uilleann Pipe - the Irish version of the bagpipe, which is air powered by bellows operated by the elbow instead of the mouth. Hence he transports the traditional sounds of his cultural heritage into nowadays clubs evoking goose bumps and the feeling of freedom on the dance floors all over the world...
For the production of Protect Your Mind 2009' Darren teamed up with well known and much respected composer Torsten Stenzel who worked already with internationally pop stars like Tina Turner, Chris Rea and Vanessa Mae, did remixes for Moby and Faithless and is responsible for the chart hits of Sakin & Friends and DJ Taucher!
Themed never change a winning team' the new single of Darren Bailie will be released by Dance Villa a division of White Villa Entertainment - home of Infinity 2008'.

more
With his debut single 9 PM (Till I Come)' released under the project name ATB, André Tanneberger made the big leap forward to become one of the top acts in the international Dance scène.
But let's start at the very beginning:
The parents of André Tanneberger, who was born in 1973 in the then GDR town of Freiberg (Thuringia), left the old East Germany in 1984 to try their luck in the West. On his weekends at the end of the Eighties André often went to the Tarm Center in Bochum, where he is the resident DJ today, to listen to DJ sets from Thomas Kukula. In 1992 he decided to make music himself. Equipped with an Amiga computer and a small synthesizer his first compositions were produced in his bedroom. Through a friend he finally met Thomas Kukula a.k.a. General Base, who was clearly impressed by André's first experiments and offered him the use of his studio to put the finishing touches to the songs he had prepared. In the studio, next to a lot of other equipment, André spotted a synthesizer called Sequential Pro One, which gave him the idea for the name of his first project Sequential One.
Dance', André Tanneberger's first single as Sequential One, was finally released in February 1993 and this was followed by other, Techno-oriented releases. André was slowly setting up his own little studio.
André, however, did not make his real breakthrough until 9 PM (Till I Come)', which was released under the name. This explosive mix of lively dance beats and the unique, characteristic ATB guitar became a massive hit throughout the world. André also entered all important international charts with his follow-up singles Don't Stop' and Killer', a cover of the Adamski classic, and the success of the three hits inspired him to record his first album Movin' Melodies'. André, however, has had a great deal of success not only as a producer but also as a remixer, making tracks by artists such as Moby, William Orbit.
His new album Future Memories' contains 26 tracks on two CDs. One with driving, melodic club music, the other in a more ambient style. On my other albums he used the 2nd CD to show his fans another side of ATB. Same again with Future Memories'. He loves ambient music, love listening to it and producing songs in the genre, He find it enjoyable and relaxing. Most of these songs were created at home in a more intimate environment' ATB points out.
It goes without saying that André has collaborated with other artists for the new album. This has been one of his trademarks over the past decade. This time, there are songs with Roberta Carter Harrison, Haley and Josh Gallahan, no strangers to connoisseurs of earlier ATB records. Betsy Larkin and Aruna are two brand new guests on the album. Fans of ATB's instrumental tracks will also find plenty to keep them happy.
The first single that's taken from the album is called What about us' and sung by male vocalist Jan Löchel.
