Roy Gates & John Marks brengen eerbetoon aan Michael Jackson
Dance DJ's Roy Gates & John Marks hebben de handen ineengeslagen en hebben een remix gemaakt van de megahit 'Billie Jean' als eerbetoon aan de onlangs overleden Michael Jackson. Beiden DJ's waren geschokt na het overlijden van de Amerikaanse superster. We waren verbijsterd nadat bekend werd dat Michael was overleden. Jackson was op muzikaal vlak geniaal en een voorbeeld voor ons beiden, legt Gates uit. Billie Jean is onze favoriete song en dat is ook de reden om deze hit in een nieuw jasje te steken als eerbetoon.
Niet alleen de single 'Billie Jean' maakte indruk op Gates, maar ook het album 'Thriller' was niet uit zijn cd-speler te krijgen. Dat album was voor mij spectaculair. Ik heb zelfs op school tijdens een playbackshow Michael Jackson nog nagedaan met Billie Jean, legt hij uit.
De remix van Billie Jean wordt niet commercieel uitgebracht, maar wordt vanaf vrijdag verspreid via internet kanalen als You Tube en Hyves. Het doel van de heren is niet om een hit te scoren of geld te verdienen over de rug van de overleden ster, maar is puur bedoeld als eerbetoon aan hun grote muzikale held. Wij hopen dat de remix deze zomer bij zoveel mogelijk DJ's op de draaitafels komt te liggen zodat vele fans uit hun bol gaan op ons eerbetoon aan de King of Pop, vult Marks zijn collega aan.
Gates scoorde de afgelopen jaren diverse nationale en internationale hits met songs als 'Midnight sun' en 'Lose myself'. Ook Marks behaalde de binnen en buitenlandse hitlijsten met hits als 'Carnival' en 'Insanity'. Beiden heren zijn ook actief als producer voor andere artiesten. Marks produceerde recent de door Gordon geschreven single 'Shine' van De Toppers.

Agnes Carlsson is a young and talented new artist and songwriter. In 2005 she became the first female winner of Idols and she released her first album Agnes right away. One year later she released her second album Stronger. Her third album Dance Pop Love was released last year (2008) and entered the Swedish sales chart at 5th position. 2008 Was a year where everything fell into place for Agnes - both creatively and career wise. Dance Love Pop, evolved from her vision to create the ultimate pre- party' album. The drive, the energy and the attitude we associate with a 20 year old who is eager to explore life and music are all apparent on this her strongest album to date.
The first single On and on became an instant success right from the onset when the song was premiered in the popular live TV show Sommarkrysset with close to a million viewers. Soon it topped both the Tracks chart (popular listener voted chart) and the Music Control chart. On and On is the most shown music video on MSN ever and currently has close to 82 000 viewings. In 2009 On and On became gold in Sweden. The single even peaked at #2 at the Swedish Tracks Chart. This is a chart where radio listeners have to vote for their favourite track.
The year 2008 was almost like a new beginning for Agnes. Just before the new year she changed management firm. Soon after that, she changed record companies to the smaller more versatile Roxy Recordings where she finds the personal backing that all artists strive after. Around the same time she found the perfect partner in songwriter and producer Anders Hansson. Sparks fly when the somewhat unexpected meeting of Hanssons electronic flavoured music team up with Agnes soulful vocals. This will be apparent when Agnes will compete with their song , Love Love Love, in the upcoming Melodifestivalen - a competition followed closely by a huge part of Sweden population - as the choice of the song to represent them in the Eurovision Song Contest is decided.
Agnes was even nominated for a Grammy for song of the year 2008. Besides that, she's got a nomination on the biggest gay gala - QX-gala 2009 - for Song of the Year and Artist of the Year.
The last years have been eventful for Agnes to say the least. The two first albums and three nationwide tours came one after another. During the winter of 2007 Agnes took part in the show - ABBA Christmas Edition - at the Annexet in Stockholm. She showed the first signs of her song writing progress. She also took time to take part in the MQ Christmas campaign together with Måns Zelmerlöw where the two duetted on All I want for Christmas' that topped the sales charts. The spring of 2008 was kick-started with the TV show Körslaget (Battle of the Choirs) where Agnes expertly chose members for a choir from her hometown of Vänersborg and competed against six other choirs.
What are your goals and ambitions for 2009? My biggest goal is to see my music released in Europe. A lot of things are happening already - many countries have already committed to release and another few larger territories will be on board soon. Artistically the goal is always to evolve on all levels - vocally, the song writing and the on stage show are all important for me.
Agnes has co-written three songs on the last album amongst others the new single Release me. This single enters the Swedish Track Chart at #2 just like On and on did. The videos for both tracks amassed 1,1 million viewings on youtube.com - proof that Agnes knows what she is doing in that department as well. Both tracks, On and on and Release me, also reached the Top 10 at Music Control in 2009.
After the success of the release On and on, White Villa is proud to present the successor Agnes - Release me. The Music Video is already TMF's Super Clip and the forthcoming album will be release in the 4th quarter of 2009. for the Netherlands!

For those who care, all his hit singles can be found on more than a million compilation CDs all over the world. With over 5 successful single releases this DJ is one of the biggest, rising stars in the music industry. Straight from the start of his career, Roy Gates' debut single How Deep was hailed a Dancesmash on Radio 538 (Hollands biggest radio station). The track instantly went for the higher regions of the single charts and got put on several playlists of many radio and TV stations worldwide.
With the follow up On My Way as its successor it rapidly became obvious that his career was going through the roof. At that time all of his singles got supported by top DJs like Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Randy Katana and got playlisted on TMF and Slam!FM for weeks.
To make his 3rd single We Rock Together, Roy Gates started working with DJ/producer E-Craig, who produced a remix for this single. This popular remix actually put Roy Gates on the map all over the world. We Rock Together was playlisted on TMF and Slam!FM.
After this, Roy Gates' track Lose Myself also became a huge hit and got him to performing live in Top of the Pops and in TMF Reaction. Lose Myself became Dancesmash on Radio538, Grandslam on Slam!FM, had high positions in the Top 100 and Top 40 and was playlisted on TMF, Radio538 and Slam!FM.
Towards the end of 2006 Roy released his mega hit Midnight Sun. Including a few great remixes and an outstanding video, this track offered the whole package and delivered! Midnight Sun was proclaimed Dancesmash on Radio 538, Grandslam on Slam!FM, is playlisted on every radio station in the Netherlands and reached up to the higher regions in the Top 100 and Top 40. The music video was put on high rotation at TMF. Almost a year after this release, the track is still played regularly, maybe even daily on Radio 538.
In the beginning of 2007, Roy Gates made an awesome remix of Vincent de Moor's Flowtation. The track was readily playlisted on Slam!FM, reached the Top 100 chart and was supported by Armin van Buuren. He also produced The Queensday Anthem for Radio 538 and shortly after that he produced his monster hit Take u Down! This ravingly wicked record is a mix between Electro and Club.
The same year he once again proves his unique producing skills with a remake of the solid hits: NRG 2007 and On My Way 2007 that gained high altitudes in the Top 100 and The Mega Dance Top 30. In November 2007 Roy produces his 7th scintillating success hit. Hey, accompanied by an extremely spectacular music video and 5 Remixes. Together with Dancevilla he releases the successful compilation Mixed Feelings 2 with 32 smashing dance tracks mixed by the master himself.
Then his musical success starts bringing him the success in what he truly loves, DJ-ing. His performance at Trance Energy is one of the highlights of his career so far. But its the Radio 538 stage during Queensday in Amsterdam that made him a little nervous, 250.000 people gathered to what is the biggest event in Holland. Roy played an outstanding set with all people dancing and singing along on his biggest hits.
Early 2008 Roy meets the vocalist Karen Ires who already worked with ATB. After sharing each others music and thoughts they start working together. This collaboration results in the outstanding hit single (with the beautiful voice of Karen Ires) The world is spinning.
In November 2008 Roy Gates produces One Touch, which brings him back at the top of the charts again (#17 Top100!). This release contains three big remixes Original mix, Main mix and Patrick Rosaka Mix. The Original and Main mix are supported by Armin van Buuren and Sander van Doorn.
The year 2009 will be a very busy year for Roy Gates. There are a lot of new things going on around him and after the succesful release of Machine, the populair DJ/Producer amazes again with the floorfiller Rainbow. This new Play That Music release will definitely hit the charts again and is accompanied by a music video which has been shot in L.A.

DJ Jeans' career started out as he won the Dutch mix&scratch championships back in the late eighties. From that moment on, his career sped up very fast.
