The Naked Archaeologist, Simcha Jacobovici lectured recently at WestConn to a crowd of over 150 people in a mixed audience of students and walk-ins, with a spellbinding 2 ½ hour lecture in biblical archaeology mayhem.
Kudos to Maria A. Schrader, Christopher R. DeBellis, Samuel S. McNeil, Annemarie L. Schriever, and Cassandra L. Manard of professor Karen Rafterys class, Intermediate Video Production for interviewing and filming The Naked Archaeologist.

Jonathan Soares transferred to WestConn in spring 2003 after spending a semester at the University of Rhode Island.
Once here, he dove into both his studies and his start-up business, Q Products Inc., which markets his line of Jonathans Q Gourmet BBQ Sauces.
Ive always loved selling, marketing new products and coming up with new ideas, Soares says. I knew I wanted to start my own company, which made me lean towards the marketing degree. Soares graduated from WestConn in May of 2006.
Soares combined his own initiative and ideas with the expertise offered by his professors at the Ancell School of Business to successfully market his products, which now are found in thousands of grocery stores across the United States.

WestConn's Bachelor of Science in Meteorology is the only such program in the State of Connecticut, and one of only a few in the Northeast. WestConn has developed a foundation of courses in mathematics, computer science, physics, astronomy and earth science, combined with meteorology, to prepare you for television and radio weathercasting, operational forecasting, or for teaching or research in the atmospheric sciences.
Hone your research skills in our Meteorological Studies and Weather Center. Earn credits while learning how a fully operational weather center gathers and disseminates data. You'll even gain valuable experience by participating in WestConn's daily student TV weathercasting show!
