  • looks amazing! just wondering what kind of ink/paint you used?

  • @captainscruffy7

    Charbonnel Etching Inks

  • How much does a little press like that cost?

  • that press was around $500. I purchased it from some company in the Netherlands. It's a pretty funy toy. Expensive, but if you use it all the time, then it's worth it.

  • way cooooool! bye the way, i loved the painting. was that oil paint or something else. i loved the way you did that painting........reverse or i guess one would say reductive which i learned in figure drawing class.

  • Julia... the press I have does a maximum of about 9 x 12". It's been great to have. It's nice beacuse even if you aren't a good artist, the results end up looking interesting because of hte process. I purchased the press from some netherlands company for about $500. I can try to find the manufacturer if you're interested in getting one.

  • I really ,really love this! I'd give anything to own a printing press like yours..really interesting..well done ! Sophie :)))

  • Awesome vid pal! (:

I enjoy a lot making monotypes but i differ a little, i don't own a press tho, so i widen son etching ink in a glass leaving a very thin layer, then i put a paper on top and draw on it, sometimes i do this several times -depending on how many inks- this does cualify as monotype right?¿ jajajajaja anyway (: lovely vídeo enjoyed a lot, how is your monotyping goin?

  • love the soaking bath in the bathroom (?) sink!! great little film! I'd love to know the details about the press that you have...is there any way you could post the name of the manufacturer?

    cheers! happy printing!!

  • Awesome Print!

I don't know if they are in the Nertherlands or not, but Utrecht (sounds German to me) makes a "baby press" for a little over 200 dollars. That press will only do prints 7 by 12 inches though. Also, you have to order the felt blankets for intaglio printing seperatly -- which is kind of a bummer. I don't own one of these, but I think I will soon. Hope this helps.

  • would like to see more of a close up of the final print

  • Great video and great work. Congratulations.

  • more please :)

  • Awesome, best video on monotype available.==Many thanks.
