Please see http://cookingandcrafting.weebly.com/recipes.html for the recipe! Thanks!
I decided not to do loco moco style, but you fry an easy over egg, layer rice, hamburger steak, egg, and cover/smother that baby with the gravy...
Sorry about the quality on this. I edited on my laptop and did not fix settings for high quality.

If you made a roux first then SLOWLY whisked in your liquid you won't get lumps. And another thing I do with my gravy is add some white wine to it about 1/4 a cup and cooked the alcohol out of it. It is so good, everyone loves my gravy so you should try it maybe. But your dinner looks yummy just the way it is. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us.

@snarkdetriomphe I do follow the recipes, but I have almost always made lumpy gravy. Like... if I was given 10 times to make gravy, at least 4 out of those 10 times it will be nasty lumpy. And my guess as to the reason is it depends on how much time I have to cook a meal.. does that make sense? If work is sitting and I have 10 minutes to get shit together, my gravy is gonna be lumpy as hell HAHAHA

all the technicians in the comment section have their gravy advice, so i will add mine - keep some grease in the pan, make a roux, then add the stock a little at a time while whisking. the other way is just making dumplings and cornstarch is gooey and sticky not velvety smooth like gravy made with a roux :) and now that i have written all that, i realize you must know all that but were following a recipe. nevermind. :)

To reduce lumping, put a good big spoonful of your hot liquid into your flour mixture. It warms it up enough to help the two emulsify better. Good old comfort food!

Have you tried whisking in the flour/water mixture, that should take care of your lumps. LOL atta girl, way to read my mind!

If you take the pan off the heat and wisk in the flour and water mixture then return it to the heat, you won't get any lumps. Looks good!! Blessings, Ang

I find cornstarch and water doesn't lump up as much.
The end result looked yummy! The gravy looked really good. This is one of my Dad's favourite meals.

I know how you can make that gravy without any lumps..... don't heat the beef broth, just pour the broth in the pan and before you put it on the heat add the flour and water mix, stir in well and THEN heat the broth until boiling stirring all the time
