@docrw, Jonsered is a Husky. Jonsered bought out the old models of husky and labelled them their own

The saws look fairly comparable here. I have friends with a store, selling Stihl, Husky and Echo. Most customers are pro-cutters. They sold Homelite before they went to China, and Poulan at one time also. how do you rate a similar sized ECHO?

@IMPORTEDCSL , well i would reccomend you go to work for a tree company for a week, then see if u still wanna start your own business, and as for recommending a chainsaw, i dont recommend you touching one.

@coyote1660 Why is it theres a health and safety expert commenting on every chainsaw related video. If the guy cuts his leg off then thats his fault, who gives a shit. Just watch the video and shut the fucking hell up..

@goodkat8567 Yep bought Husky in 1978 and sold in 2006 and made a ton of money on the deal. Jonsered baby, now thats a saw.

I'm 18 and seriously am interested in starting my own tree cutting business. What kind of chainsaw do you recommend for a newbie to the business side of tree cutting? Also, what type of insurance is prefered, do I need a business license for a small part time business and how do you personally market your company? Thanks for the help

@IMPORTEDCSL Not trying to be a jerk but hopefully you already have a saw as of now which means your not gonna try tree work and learn your way around saws at the same time. If so than a-lot goes into your startup, liability ins is a must, some states require licenses some don't. Marketing is easy around here, every ash tree in the state and surrounding is dying off so tree services can't keep up. Husqvarna or stihl? Flip a coin and find a good local dealer.
