Response to Lovie2000 Darkskin/Lightskin

I HAAAAD to touch on this topic, because it's something that hits home with me! I think we are all beautiful in our own way but yes, darker skinned people (African American or Hispanic) do tend to get the shorter end of the deal, most of the time. Most darker skinned females have faced the same issues that I have with insecurity and sometimes even self hate ( thank God I'Ve never hated my self though).

I say we all need to stick together and love one another and appreciate our African beauty no matter how light or dark! Because at the end of the day, we all we got and when it boils down to it, we all originated from the darkest of the dark! So I am what you are, regardless!

Hey Vonnj, what your describing is call the Caste System it's all your major world religions. Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism,Hinduism,Judaism, Christianity and Islam all have utilized this system for political purposes to control the masses. The whole buisness of light vs dark skin is ridiculous.You see it all the time in the media and its depressing.Their basically telling dark skinned women/girls that their not good enough and thats not right.Black ppl need to grow up and leave the slave mentality behind.

@tostandbys Oh please! Get over yourself! What about all the white & hispanic women who change their hair textures, colors & lengths using weaves! Yes our natural hair IS beautiful!
