  • @ImEternalWanderer The death star's cannon shoots the part of a planet/ship that it its into hyperspace. The resultant change in gravity and mass causes the planet to quickly become highly unstable and collapse/explode. Yavin is a gas giant, a) the death star's cannon would not have moved enough to cause any particularly damaging change in mass (as Yavin is HUGE) b) as it consists of gas, some of that being removed would not cause a collapse.

    This is why I haven't got laid in over a year
