With a 61 Plymouth into the future!!!

This car sounds great. What kind of mufflers are on it? They are just loud enough to sound healthy, but quiet enough to enjoy cruising.
By the way, Ward Cleaver drove a 61 Plymouth.

Column manual transmission, I LOVE IT!

I'll post my baby up there and show you a real fury.

@kerdawg77 - I don't have much in the way of suggestions that you probably have not thought of yet (watching Ebay and Craigslist, going to MOPAR car shows/swap meets and talking to the folks with the older cars [talking to someone who has a Cuda or Charger probably won't be much help as they've have a much easier time getting parts]). I got lucky last summer when I found a donor car (listed on Craigslist) and got a few parts. Randy

My first car, and with the pushbutton transmission! A disaster for me since the car wouldn't go into reverse until it was warm! The top of the instrument panel above the speedometer came off easily and was a handy "stash" place. I never imagined I would be able to be behind the wheel again! Thanks

I've had the dash appart and never thought about it, but you're right, that would be a great place to hide stuff. This car is a manual, but I do have a push button Belvedere and it takes some getting use to reaching to the left to engage the transmissing since every car built after 1964 have the gear chage on the right.

Sounds beautiful. I thought I was the only one with a full size 3 on the tree Plymouth (1968 Fury III conv. 3 on the tree 318).

There are a few of us still around, but the numbers are dwindling by the day. I actually bought the '61 Belvedere with the intention of swapping the 3-speed for the push button automatic but have since reconsidered; the manual was rebuilt and works good . . . why mess with sucess?!
My next project is to find a convertible (Dart, Barracuda, Sattelite).
Have fun in your Fury!
