Thanks for the video! I never would've thought to use the seed bead in the bead tip!

thanks for the tip on how to use 'bead tips'. how do you crimp the crimp bead on the other end of the claim shell bead tip without creating a slack in the wire - a gap between a necklace bead and the end of the bead tip?

dang those are ugly nails, were they done at a 'non-conforming shop'-lumpy and wide at tip, i cant even watch the demo cuz those nails so dang ugly,

thank you for your video....

Is there an instance where you would use one bead tip over the other? I mean use a clam shell as opposed to the one with the little hook w/ the open cup thingy. I think that I would like to use the clam shell type if it doesn't matter.

Thank you.

Thank you. It's interesting.
These are also sometimes called 'clam shells'.

None of these are bead caps, as you called them at the start of the vid. Bead caps are an entirely different finding & are used for decorating around the hole of a bead or capping it. These are all bead tips & the ones with the hook that you roll over are also known as 'callottes'. As I repair jewellery for a living I wouldn't recommend using a crimp at the end of beading wire inside a callotte as these crimps can easily slide off. Bead tips are best used with soft threads (Nymo, silk).
