Kenneth Branagh is an amazing actor and maybe doing strong American accents isn't his strong point (although I think they're pretty good), it shouldn't matter. He is the best actor in the world in my opinion, and a few accents aren't going to change that...

great mix!without repeating stupid things...all we know how AMAZING he is!!!

Agreed- almost all his American accents, sans Roosevelt, are workaday and poor.
I think it's the roles. His American roles aren't large, bigger than life, and Branagh needs larger than life 'Henry V'-type roles to be what he truly is as an actor: since he's wasted in roles that aren't grand, he's a waste as most of the Americans he's played. Ergo, the ONE grand American he played, the accent was good.

its an awesome vid! :)

Thanks for posting this. Ken Rules!!

If you think his accent in Dead again is good you are quite mistaken. It's bland and doesn't have a region to it so you aren't quite sure where he is supposed to be from. He can easily OVER elaborate the southern accents such as in Wild Wild West and Gingerbread man. I'll give you warm springs though, His Roosevelt is good. Though Roosevelt was from New England and a brit is going to have an easier time with a New English acccent anyway.

Ha! Ever hear him try to do an American accent?

he does it quite alot and very well too. In Warm Springs, Dead Again and Celebrity just to name the ones off the top of my head. I'm getting defensive here (is that the American or English spelling) but I am ridiculously fond of his American accents. Ken rules!
