Found a few Toyota Prius with wind turbines in the Bay Area (parked) finally saw one being driven in action. This could be a prototype for Prius Wind 2012-2014 ??

  • are you sure that'a wind turbine.. it looks like a car that takes panoramic pictures for google street view...

  • @jaykayvenom ...I've seen a few of these up close parked ...I'm pretty sure it's a wind turbine...The Google Earth cars are clearly marked and they often travel in twos, and threes :))

  • Where you can buy these windturbine"s?

  • @MrLol4you ..I don't believe it is yet out for mass purchase. This could be a test car or it is owner built. :)

  • the thin on top looks more like a "spinning" camera or perimeter sensor... A wind turbine on top of a car to charge the batteries on the go WILL NEVER WORK!! There is NO such thing as free energy!

The woman in this clip is clearly not an engineer or scientist... If the wind turbine on the top of the roof would make the car go further, then the inventor would have practically invented an "infinity-machine". But sadly no such thing exists - anywhere!

  • @TheRunehogh ...did you get a bill for the sun or a wind bill recently? Harnessing the energy is where the cost is..If you go outside and feel the wind and sun you will not get a bill for it...the lady on the clip never said she was an engineer or scientist I never heard her her claim that... Obviously you're not a mechanic, engineer, scientist or whatever....you just regurgitate what you assume you know, which is not much of anything clearly....

  • The added drag of the turbine is more than can be compensated for by the added electricity. The only good use of the turbine would be regenerative braking, but still, overall, this idea is a net loss.

  • that thing on the roof is no more than wasting extra gas

  • it would make much more sense to have a wind turbine inside of the car and not on top of it

  • That optional extra also comes with a foil hat.

  • sorry, but after you figure the drag and overall conversion efficiencies, this is NOT and CAN NOT BE an "energy saver."

period. physics. facts of life. anyone claiming differently is pulling a hoax on you.

if there were ANY truth to that concept, every car would already have one. and if you notice, they don't.

    :)

  • @rhocDaVegan the device looks like a LIDAR scanner. A wind turbine on top of a car would be good, but only if it doesn't increase the drag while the car is moving.

  • it's a sensor for driving assistance.u will see same sensors on this video

    thank you
