Worldwide glaciers are shrinking three times faster than in the 1970s and the average glacier has lost 25 feet of ice since 1997, said Michael Zemp, a researcher at World Glacier Monitoring Service at the University of Zurich

"Glaciers are a good climate indicator," Zemp said "What we see is an accelerated loss of ice."
Also, permafrost — the frozen northern ground that oil pipelines are built upon and which traps the potent greenhouse gas methane is thawing at an alarming rate - from the AP

Carbon, carbon dioxide, carbon anything has nothing to do with the climate. Never has, never will. But when you have a cause there is no room for the truth. Carbon studies in college require a book called organic chemistry. Most of the earth is composed of carbon compounds. Forgive the cooling deniers for they don't know what they're doing. And doing to the rest of us. Their kids will remind them of the harm they are creating.

You expected otherwise? This is a conference of the wealthy who intend to become weathier on the money of the working stiffs. I noticed that Time Magazine still promotes the warming bullshit. It's an industry now and we're doomed. CO2 will continue to rise, global temps will continue to drop, and those caviar eating hypocrites will continue to tell us how cooling can be warming. But they have an ace in the hole. Fudge old temps down, fudge new temps up and viola you have warming. Pass the wine.

Copenhagen Hypocrisy: the people with the biggest carbon footprints all flew to the meeting (many in private jets). They all have motorcades & extra security. All the media flew there too. They are all dining on the finest & rarest foods, while they talk about starving nations.

Why couldn't they be Leaders By Example & host an Online Video Conference? Why not stream the minutes in real-time, so we can all follow along?

Damn hypocrites & money whores.

Yes global warming is a myth. The globe did warm slightly back in the 1990s and you can still see some of the results. Just as the lakes in August are warmer than in late June when the sun has headed south, there will be hangovers from that warming a decade ago. But unless something changes we'll be back to the frigid times and I don't like that. Give me that ole time warming.

Interested in the weather outside the temperate zone? Want to know what the temperature of the Arctic is after the air warms a bit on the way south? Check out accuweather and the usual com, and type in Calgary, Alberta. The forecast high for December 13st is -31C, which is about -24F. And that's the high. Bet you won't see Al Gore hanging around Alberta. And Calgary is in southern Alberta. Check out Edmonton while you're there.

The sad part of all this is that the weather can vary dramatically in the northern hemisphere because of the polar jet stream (there's more than one jet stream). Those scumbags in East Anglia, if they had been doing their jobs, might have thrown some light on what sets the course of the jet streams but instead they spent their time cooking the books. So we still don't have the algorithms to track the jet streams and they've set science back.

Calgary, Alberta, is trying to dig out from 4 feet of snow and has -30 Celsius temperatures hampering the cleanup. Looks like a possible fourth year of expanding ice in the Arctic. Don't let the fudgers tell you it's not cold up there. The people in Moscow are freezing and mad at their climatologist because he didn't forecast the blizzard they are going through. Guess that one day warm spell threw him off. They're getting the cold air from the Arctic as well. Lots of that to go around.
