Fires seem to be popping up everywhere in the area today and I was able to get a decent view of the one on Roxy Ann Peak.

  • Oh the irony of this videos settings.I thought it'd be raining.ehehe

  • @electrolyteKaosiz Oregon does not equal rain. Maybe more Portland area but for the most part, it rains with the appropriate seasons. This summer was completely dry, actually.

  • first off, thx for muting the 2x speed, I hate pointlessly fast audio.Second, Do I see, I see legit HD video, or something close to it? does your camera run on some standard battery AA AAA or does it have some rechargeable thingy, a battery made just for it. I'm looking at HDs but I vow I will not buy another camera with a battery that will not be available in 5 years. and a screen I can fold in/turn off is another priority, but not as high, alas, I have not found such an animal yet.

  • Yeah, you're right. I didn't mute it I just wasn't talking and I was back in my car.

2nd. I have a flip ultra HD which I got for my birthday. It doesn't have a flip out screen but it's so easy to use and it's nice being able to take it anywhere without it being big and annoying. It takes 2AA but it comes with some that you can charge just by keeping the camera plugged into the computer.

It's supposed to be HD but the quality seems a bit limited. Closeups are impossible to get.

  • how long did the fire last???...

  • Not sure exactly. Quite a few hours though. I only got the beginning of it but then had to go home and then to work so I wasn't able to actually see how long it lasted.

  • @DavesVideos313 i was watching from my roof-top across the valley. that fire stretched across that face of the mountain, and the ash sparked one on the other side. fire burned for probably 5 hours easy. but i can tell you that the mountain is just now looking better, and back to usual. before you could look at it and it look like a giant scar.

  • I watched that fire too. I lived up at the top street on Manor Hill (Shannon Dr) and was checking it out from our back deck with my telescope. I watched the gas tank explode on a vehicle that that became surrounded by the fire =o

  • This fire started the day after I left Oregon for basic training. Must have been contained pretty quick because my dad's house is wasn't threatened, he lives on the other side of Roxy Ann

  • @bowiechick whoa that was a suprise I didn't quite expect you to comment back I'd figured you'd be drowned in e-mails before ya found this one.

but the only reason I say that is because deep down I really miss living in oregon period.and those dry summers are a perfect precursor to the winter which is beatiful non the less.

    yeah..

  • This was literally 20 yards from my house. It was insane.

  • Hey. Looks like this was taken at North Medford High where I graduated back in 1989. Luckily no homes were destroyed from this fire.

  • looks like north highschool infront :o
