Huliganov TV has been able to get hold of a full version of this Soviet children's movie for your enjoyment. Directed in 1969 by Alexandr Rou, this production of the Russian Story of "Barbara the Fair with Silky Hair" stars Mikhail Pugovkin as King Jeremy, Anastacia Zuyeva as the Narrator Lady, Georgiy Millar as King Chudo-Yudo, and Tatiana Klyuyeva as the eponymous Barbara.

The story is a traditional style fairytale, with King Jeremy kidnapped by the underwater kind Chudo-Yudo while making a census of his lands, and agreeing unwisely to a ransome demanded for his release...

There is a version on youtube of this movie - but 20 minutes shorter.

I cannot imagine, why there should a 20 minutes difference, because it is a children movie.

@masterbrubbel very simple - he doesn't have the last 20 minutes because his upload cut off. That will serve him right for uploading stuff I already put up here in total! I only have so far about 4 Soviet films in my collection - I should probably make a playlist of them to make them easier to get at - but at least they are done in one lot and you don't have to keep finding the next instalment or getting let down with incomplete versions. Please sub. I only need 12 more subbers to make 4,000.

@Alyssabeta Fantastic. Have you put the time codes onto the translation as shown on the link I added for you to the description? Once you have it, make sure you have put on a credit for yourself with a time code too, and send it to me. I will check it in subviewer and then add it, because YT has changed it so that I cannot just open up captions any more, we have to do it this way.
