George Carlin in a piece about "our similarities" said just what you just did, that the government and the wealthy like to keep us split and fighting each other. We all want to change legislation. We can't do that as a people divided, whether politically, religiously or otherwise. There is no left, right, only the American people VS the Federal government. We need to unite as the people of the United States, as one, and cut the Fed Govt in half at least. Govt is a necessary evil and the less the better. Individual rights come with individual RESPONSIBILITY. WE need to do this.

One good thing: At first, the democrats latched on to OWS and I thought "Great, now they're gonna try and politicize this and make it a left thing.... they want their own tea party.

I see that as death for the movement. The good news is recently, dems have distanced themselves because OWS turned from Wall Street to Washington.

Make no mistake, the movement should never turn political. If it does, it's dead.

There's a good mix though right now..

@2eelShmeal Why do the people not see. Occupy movement gave me hope for awhile that maybe those in power would start to listen, but they denegraded the movement as being filled with and controlled by communists. Anytime anyone disagrees with the govenment and their owners then they are branded as commies and the public obligingly agrees. It will be an uphill fight, but the fight is for the existance of what we once called a democracy.
