@2:05 -- "I've never done anything for the money. I would rather be loving and serious about the work I'm doing. It's not a stepping stone."
---Of course it's not about the money, Julie. Because you've always had it. Ever live without it?
It's easy to not have to work for money (such as waitressing) when you're the daughter of a gynecologist.
Ugh...rich kids.

Most over rated director in history. Spiderman turn off the dark will go down as the worst musical in the history of broadway.

I truly admire and love this woman.

Years ago it was through TITUS that I first came across this great lady. Today (2009-9-17) I see and hear her.
Keep up the good work, Lady

I enjoy what she has to say, remarkable that she is so focused and stays true to her artistic vision. What a treasure.
I love this woman! I'm building a college course around "Across the Universe"--it's a course in popular culture and politics--and before I show it to the students I'm going to play them this great clip. So inspiring and beautiful! Thank you Julie.

If it's inspiring it's inspiring not just because it's taking artistic chances, but because it has something to say. [W]e really have a terrible nack in the entertainment world for separating those things. For a comedy being mindless and for intelligent dramas being work. ...There is no reason why those two things can't be put together.
...i totally just quoted that in an essay for class. she is so inspiring!
