@larrya444 wow that is rare, wish you had video! Do you know what the conditions were for this? That's suprising b/c I assume its a rather long taxi back. I love 22L takeoffs though...Have you seen 32R arrivals?
-
I was laughing b/c i heard the tower clear AirMexico on it last week and he was like "can't find the LOC, can we have ILS?" - tower was like "uh, the ILS has been out for 6 months now" They asked the pilot if he saw the runway then cleared him for a visual 32L.
-
@UnshavenStatue are you sure? I had the arrival 3 weeks ago and heard ORD tower clear another united 767 on it two weeks ago while listening to CH 9 ( on united). I'm pretty sure they only work it late at night and with heavies only. It's a LOC ONLY arrival.
-
And now that runway is closed to arrivals.
-
It's 32L. Cargo on the left, terminal on the right. If it was 32R, the terminal would be to the left. Trust me, it's 32L, he is correct.
-
32L is amazing because you come just over 4L/22R and 10/28, he put it down AFTER 10/28 (~ T-10)...is that normal or did he overshoot?...
-
By far the best approach into ORD (unless you get a very rare 4L or 32R arrival- is that possible)? Supposedly they only do 32L approaches late at night. Last week I was on a 767-300 UA from SFO. Was shocked to hear the 32L approach "32L visual approach LOC ONLY"...Pilot goes "wow! we actually have to work for this one?!"...SO AMAZING! He was all over the glideslope, rippin the engines it was sick!

Everybody can but one can't choose weather ( like my flight in April ) and the seat ( easier ) and the time of day ( not always possible )

Yes! if we are a pilot seat in cockpit and routing that's will be easier.
