Martins are know for needing Neck Resets. BE CAREFUL WITH MARTIN GUITARS OR AVOID THEM.

THIS GUITAR IS BASICALLY UNPLAYABLE.

Don't waste your money on these guitars.
This guitar is very hard to play because of this.

I bought this Martin Acoustic Guitar and when I brought it to get setup, the person took one look at it and said it needed a neck reset. But he some how talked me into getting it "setup" anyway (for $80.00) instead of saying this guitar cannot be properly setup and giving it back to me.
This guitar is very difficult to play and my fingers get destroyed after about 20 minutes. The action is just way too high.

I want to make videos of all the Steve Howe pieces once I get this guitar fixed or get another one.

  • Martins are easy to play and the actions are fast. This is a bull shit claim in this video. LOL what a joke. the way he is bending the strings,if the neck was off, and needed reset he couldn't to that and keep it in tune.

  • @bluegrasssingingman

I brought this guitar to an authorized Martin shop a month after I bought it.

He took one look at it and said : "It needs a neck reset".

He somehow talked me into getting it "set up" anyway (he got $80 for it)

but he really shouldn't have because you can't properly set-up a guitar

that needs a neck reset. The guitar is hard to play because the action is high.

If you hear, I'm having a hard time getting clean notes.

This guitar rips my finger tips to shreds.

  • Nice work but the guitar itself sounds like shit.

  • @cerebralfish1 and plays like shit too.

  • Wow man. Your amazing. Try and learn olive you on acoustic! :D

  • @JTProductions789 Thanks JT. What is the "olive you"?

  • it sounds like you took it to the WRONG person. it can be set up just fine by a competent luthier. forget the money you spent and go spend good money to fix it. you'll be glad you did. if you can't find a luthier then message me. i'll tell you how to reach mine.

  • Martins have never been built with low easy action in mind, they are designed as cowboy guitars that vibrate strongly above the frets without buzzing too much. Martin Dreadnoughts happen to have a unique sound so most of the owners over the last 40 years haven't been cowboys, but still you have to bear in mind what various guitar types and models were designed to be.

  • Great playing. Lower end martins, more have neck issues than average (as opposed to other guitars in same price range cough *takamine yamaha seagull*). Look on acoustic guitar mag forums, they have a meme, "martin isn't a taylor". Granted they're gear heads so grain of salt applies. Also more older martins out there so the stigma is attached. Sorry you got a lame one due to bad wood selection / wood prep / bad QA etc. Martin is a good company but general consensus is get higher end line.

  • Is this a kind of guitar for the beginners? Dude, you sound way too good, you should buy some better one or at least get that one repaired. like lowering the action of the strings. :)

  • hey man ,,sounds good and action bit high ya bit all can be done by you ,,take the bridge and sand it down a hair or two ,,,also look down the neck if its a bit bent and "bowed" then get an allen key and crank it clockwise 1/4 turn ,,retune in yer done ,, ,,,you play excellent ..peace

  • FU!!

  • Martin and shit ? nah I don't think so.

  • what model is this?

  • yeh lol its kind of funny i have a martin also like what somebody else said like their known, one of the best guitars in the world, you probably either got a defect (nobodys perfect) or you did not keep good care of it

  • @SteveHoweJeffBerlin I have a Martin 000-28 Clapton Sig for about two years sounds great neck is fine best guitars made in the world maybe yours is just poorly made
