  • @MrMcgivern7 I don't think the concern is directed at the solid food so much as the bones left in the chicken. Bones can splinter, no matter how long they have been cooked, which can cause cuts in the mouth or worse if it ends up being swallowed. I think baby lead weaning is great, but I would never give my child meat with the bones left in at such a young age for this very reason. I don't think it would be too much work to pull it off the bone, just to be safe, but that's just me

  • @jseppi88 I kinda feel like that could happen at any age, what age is appropriate to give chicken on the bone to a child? By this stage she was very aware of what was going in her mouth. She's 30 months now and still loves chicken on the bone more than any other meat we feed her. Thanks for your post though.

  • Gettin right tore in to that chicken, that is amazing. We did BLW with our youngest, started off with banana, spit out some of it at first but eventually she got the hang of it. Mmmm she is 10months now, not tried her with chicken yet :) xx

  • amazing! Love this! I just showed this to my mum who's a bit skeptical! This is our go to video! We are only on week one but my son loves exploring food so far he's had plum, potato, banana, rice cake!

    I agree with the video owner's response, but also, you do not use the heimlech manouvre with a 6-month old baby. With babies under one, you would do chest thrusts and back blows.
