In a Hummer H2 in the Cleveland National Forest OHV Trail just north of the US-Mexico Border in Southern California. It took 3 hours to travel approximately through 3 miles of treacherous terrain... over rocks, through mud, etc. It was an experience of a lifetime. We got stuck a few times where I even locked up the car and pondered leaving the forest on foot and hiring some sort of Helicopter Service or airlift out of there. The emotions were very high and very low. Through some major stress, we figured out how to get out of each mess that we got ourselves into. We were inexperienced off-roaders who made every mistake in the book. 1.) We did not use the buddy system (e.g., go off-roading with another off-road vehicle) 2.) We did not tell our families where we were going 3.) We did not pre-scout the trail so we could be better prepared and 4.) We did not remove the side-steps from the Hummer. They eventually got crushed into the belly of the Hummer. All-in-all, we lucked out and were able to figure out each predicament we got ourselves into using our knowledge of math, the ability to think logically, and the fact that we were in a Hummer. I believe it is GM's best built vehicle, a true beast. Hooray for American Ingenuity!

By the Way, Part 8 represents our most difficult task.

  • No it's not built on the tahoe frame the H2 is more of a box ladder type frame in means being fully boxed under neith not like the typical half box "C" frame like a Tahoe or a blazer etc etc.. This H2 is built for offroading if you know how to use it. after all it was assembled at AM General not a GM. So it can do just as good as the civilian H1 and Humvee all 3 are good. I own one and yes I am a car technician so I know what I am talking about.

  • Whoa, the H2 is awesome offroad!

As long as you have a friend describing every rock in your path, which direction you should turn the wheel, and when to back up and start again.

    Awesome.

  • @LovePontiac They were high.. lol

  • man these trucks are a waste of dough

  • how annoying is the kid with the commentary

  • The H2 is an 8 and a half thousand pound, WAYYY underpowered SUV, incorrectly claiming to be a harcore offroading vehicle. Go buy yourself a Land Rover instead.

  • Epic!!! :)

  • @82porsche928 the Civilian H1 is the same as the Military version, just with AC, etc... so thinking an h2 or 3 could handle the same as the H1 is just very very wrong. the H1 military and civilian models are made for offroad. h2-3 are road queens, sure they can go offroad but they are not great at it,

  • That was basically a dirt road. A shorter wheel base or just a non gigantic vehicle would have just cruised through. H2 is overpriced, under powered gimmick

  • Nice you seem to have fun bat hummer h2 its not saw strong at off roading and rocks because it's to heavy it's more than 2,7 tones saw it's not the ideal car bat it's cool some times to have fun if you ever want an off roader bay the wrangler rubicon diesel the only bad it's that it comes at diesel only in 2.8L bat it comes at 4.0L another good jeep its a defender bat not as good as the rubicon nice video better going like chickens than brake your axel

  • i don't see what people are getting so upset about, these guys took a car that no one else seems to take off a sealed road and went and had some fun!
