Thanks...yes, this particular area is quite nice...they do special events a few times a year, but they've never done oxes before, nore will they again, unless the game is still around the next time the Year of the Ox rolls around. So I had to get this on tape. Tried to get a clip with a conga-line full of folks running with the bulls but my hard drive got too full from all the clips lol Thanks for watching...

Thanks, can't believe how quick the year went by. Hope to have some stuff up soon for the Year of the Tiger, but I didn't film much -- was to busy filming in the real world for the Chinese New Year, in Chinatown...
Oh, and the songs are by Vienna Tang...

do you know the name of the song?? the pronunciation isn't that clear..

The first song is called Ru Goa, an old Taiwanese song.
The second song is Ludao Xiaoyequ, another Taiwanese song.
Both of these songs are covered by Vienna Teng, the woman singing in the video.

wow, thanks...wanted to know more about her...found the songs at the Live Music Archive...she has such a beautiful voice...

Well, the Live Music Archive said they're called "Ru Goa" and "Green Island Serenade", by Vienna Teng. I download some of the other stuff available, the rest of it was all in English and she said she was born in America, so that's why you might not be able to understand her accent. And not sure if Mandarin or Cantonese. Lol but it's gotta be better than my accent, as all I know is Gung Hay Fat Choy, Sun Nien Fai Lok, and ni hao. Hey, how do you say "Happy birthday, Candy!" in Chinese? :-)

OK, it's Mandarin. Not sure which you speak.
Trying to put a link in but YouTube keeps eating the comment lol I'm trying to link to a vid on YouTube so don't know what the big deal is. Click porcupine179's link to go to his/her channel, click the favorites, and then click related videos to get to another version of this song, or search Vienna Teng, or duh I'll email you lol
