Tuning Machine Installation on a Warmoth Bass Guitar.
Song is a remake of my Odd Time Meter Song. The time signature is 7/4 so it is like ONE 2 3 4 FIVE 6 7 ONE...etc.
Bass: Warmoth fretless with Lollar pickups into AdrenaLinn III.
Guitar: Warmoth Telecaster with Lollar pickups into Trombetta Miini Bone into Strymon El Capistan into Strymon bluSky reverb into a pair of Genz-Benz Black Pearl 30 combos, one recorded with an Sennheiser e906 and one recorded with a Shure KSM27.
Soft synths: Cakewalk Rapture, Dimension Pro
Basic steps I take to install tuners:
Tap in the bushings. I use a soft fret mallet from Stew Mac.
Test drill bit with scap piece of wood to make sure the tuning machine screws screw are snug, but DO NOT require a lot of force.
Align each tuner making sure it is squared up, then insert a screw to mark the point for the drill bit. Then drill pilot holes. Double check proper depth with a marked toothpick.
Button it all up.
Cool vid, is this a wenge neck?

@Svet69 Thanks Svet and yes it is wenge with ebony fretboard. Warmoth installed the gold fretwire so I went with the gold Schaller tuners and also bridge and control plate cover for the jazz bass body.
