Exploring Pakistan - Karachi Grooves to Salsa

Karachiites getting their first dose of Salsa as a new Lounge in town opens its doors for those that want to groove to this Latin obsession. Enthusiasts get to enrol in a basic course that gives them introduction to a watered down version of Salsa - keeping in mind sensitivities of the local cultural norms.

This new movement in Karachi has everyone upbeat. Salsa has always been popular with Asians with more than a touch of Jive. And it's got people in Karachi queuing up for classes.

"Just came across with the idea to start Salsa Jive classes in Pakistan. I came back from UK and did it for like two and half years. And when I came back I realized I should start these classes over here as well," said Faisal Anwar, Salsa Jive Instructor
