  • thank you for the review. did you have any temperature problems with this model? i have a 3 yeard old pavilion which sounds like a turbine even at minimun workload so even though i really like this one its hard to trust HP with the fan noise!

  • @cb1983wien It's a large laptop and has a giant cooling system, so heat was not an issue

  • Have you ever had the other 2010/early2011 Envy 17? How is the heat on this one in comparison?

  • OMG... why does a numpad have to be added to laptops... This would of been perfect without it... Now I have to look at the Envy 15...

  • Loping this laptop... I wanna get it and hook it up to like a 23"+ screen..

  • @LaptopReviewsDotCom is it loud when working under normal conditions? i mean word, pdf internet etc..

  • @LisaD472 Sounds cool, I'd love to tryout the 3D version. That's awesome you like it so much you're getting the Envy 15. Also a nice laptop.

  • @LaptopReviewsDotCom I have the 3D version - maxed out the specs and got a 1/3rd off coupon so saved a thousand bucks :o)... The 3D is kinda cool and will render 3D to all your 2D media files thrown at it (to one degree or another) Will Render Pictures files 3D too... More a diorama effect than popping out of the screen effect. I got mine as a desktop replacement, but like it so much I am gonna get the 15 inch version too as an every day use laptop to replace my XPS.

  • @xFightingFalcon

yes, you can switch them off

  • @IronicCoder18

watching movies in 1080p gives 3 hours battery life. just for simple tasks like word, excel etc. gives 7 hours battery life. Not on high performance setting of course

  • does it have a wifi button and is it a dvd burner thanks
