@PreludeRacerSH They are designed for throttle response, boxed off to cold air feed with filter/s is safest and still efficient
-
@CapnCrossbones i know that it doesnt hurt it to have the filter off ...what im saying is when some dirt happens to get sucked in there because there is no filter thats when it hurts something
-
@ragjaga if you leave the filter off for months it will destroy the engine eventually. But a idling car just revving without filter is ok should not hurt anything. It might make the pcu act stupid if anything. A mechanic told me about it. I think with a hondata programer you can by pass the intake sensors or use the sensors for precise air fuel mix. In this fellas case he may need to tune the pcu and adjust the a/f mixture so it runs smoother. I would use a hondata tec tool for it.

sounds like a rally car :)

@PreludeRacerSH the air cleaner box that goes on the itb's usually comes around to the same place the regular intake. u cant run it like that without an air filter

ITB'S are sick nasty and all but plz tell me the point of puttin them on when your ITB'S faces the faire wall??? mmmmm yummy hottt engine bay heat.. but even tho its pointless i will agree its pretty cool

hey mate im thinking of doing this mod. do you have any tips? what other work have you done to the engine? what size injectors and what kind of power did you get?
have you had a run against someone with after-market branded throttlebodies?
-
hah impressive man, look at those things go, will be so much more xtreme once the engine is under some load.

Awesome man, bet you can't wait to get it tuned and take it for a fang :D
My $200 camera doesn't do the itbs justice
