Our luxurious two story, 2 BR/2 BA (1660 Sq Ft) town home is located at Kulalani in the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii's sunny, South Kohala Coast. Surrounded by the championship Francis H. I'i Brown North Golf Course, Kulalani's luscious, tropical landscaping is a tranquil, green oasis amid nearby lava fields. The setting is intimate, impeccably maintained and gated for privacy. Situated poolside, our contemporary Hawaiian plantation-style residence is decorated with an elegant tropical island flair. Our town home is fully air conditioned, but it also has great airflow for guests who prefer the refreshing mountain and ocean breezes.
MASTER BEDROOM AND BATH HIGHLIGHTS:
The two bedrooms are located on separate floors and offer the ultimate in privacy. The upstairs master bedroom features a king canopy bed with luxurious bedding, a 26" LCD flat screen HDTV w/DVD and iHome alarm clock w/iPod docking station. Step out on to the lanai where comfortable chairs, ottomans and amazing views of the Kohola Mountains await you. The spa-like master bathroom is finished with tile floors, a spacious shower, private water closet and large double vanity with granite countertops. A full-size jetted tub is ideal for soaking after a day of sightseeing, golfing, swimming or relaxing on the beach.
GUEST BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS:
The main floor bedroom is decorated in a tropical palm motif, and includes a queen size bed, ceiling fan, a 26" LCD flat screen HDTV w/DVD and alarm clock. The adjacent bathroom has tile floors, a single vanity with a granite countertop and a tub with shower.
LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS:
The well-appointed living room has an open and airy feeling created by a soaring 20-foot ceiling. Furnished with a large Tahitian sectional sofa, ottoman, home entertainment centre (32" LCD flat screen HDTV w/built-in DVD), and writing/computer desk, the spacious living room is a place for relaxing any time of the day. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen has everything you need to make preparing meals a breeze. The kitchen is accented with sleek granite countertops and features top of the line GE appliances. Counter stools make conversation easy for guests who enjoy gathering in the kitchen, while the dining room is tastefully furnished with a dining table that seats 4 adults comfortably.
LANAIS:
Start the day with a cup of freshly brewed Kona coffee and watch the sun rise over the 14,000-ft. snow-capped (in winter) Mauna Kea and Observatory from the main floor or upstairs lanai. The wrap-around main floor lanai is complete with a Viking Gas BBQ and wet bar, granite countertops and elegant, resin wicker furniture. Imagine firing up a Hawaiian BBQ for "al fresco" dining, or relaxing on the loveseat, reading a book and sipping a Mai Tai while taking in the view of the beautiful pool and gardens!
AMENITIES:
Just steps away from our poolside unit is a lap pool, state of the art fitness centre, generously sized resort style lagoon pool, hot tubs and a pavilion area. The Beach Club boasts a gorgeous white sand beach with fantastic snorkeling, along with a restaurant and bar. Golfers will be impressed by the picturesque Francis H. I'i Brown North and South courses, where guests are eligible for significant discounts on green fees, advance booking privileges and preferential tee times. Five other golf courses are located within a 10-mile radius.
The resort offers miles of hiking trails through ancient Hawaiian fish ponds and Honu (sea turtle) nurseries or take a helicopter tour over the Kilauea Volcano from the nearby heliport. Explore waterfalls, rainforests, horse ranches and the historic towns of Waimea, Hawi, Kona and Hilo. Take a tour of a coffee farm. Go horseback riding at Parker Ranch. Hawaii's beaches come in all different colours: white, black, green, salt and pepper. Scuba, snorkel, surf or boogie board in clear, turquoise water. Go deep sea fishing. Watch the whales. Swim with dolphins. Snorkel or scuba with manta rays.
