Amos Milburn - Bow Wow

Another 78. Amos Milburn doing "Bow Wow," a 1948 Aladdin Records release. This instrumental is the flip side to "Let's Make Christmas Merry." It's interesting to listen to these early R&B tunes and note that when they were cut Swing was king, Bop was in its prime, and these were low to moderate budget releases done live in the studio in as few takes as possible. To me that's what captures the energy.
