After seeing some of the amazing quadsuits people have uploaded on this site and elsewhere I though; why not give it a go myself? I have no experience making costumes so I gleaned information from all over the internet before starting. It is an expensive project but I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Also, I'm keeping which Pokemon it is a secret but it'll get easier and easier to guess as I go along.

As my new deadline is October 2012 I haven't finished the suit yet and will resume progress in June/July. I'd say that the overall suit is currently at the 60% completion mark. There will be no more work on it until Summer.

After minor deliberation I remade the stilts, from scratch, and this is the outcome. They look much more realistic, they are more sturdy, they are much easier and more comfortable to walk in and are very quiet. I would still appreciate any comments you have.

  • looking pretty darn good :D i love the *flop* sound the paws make on the ground! XD

:3 I look forward to seeing the final pokemon. I have my guesses as to who it is >:3

  • @TwilightWolf222 Haha, I appreciate that I'm not the only one who enjoyed the added bonus of the 'flop' sound. Completely not the sound I was expecting!

  • How did you create the front feet? Do you have a website or something where you have a guide on how to make it?

  • @RantingPhoenix I have no website, but there is plenty of information on youtube and other sites on how to make quadsuits. Look at Monoyasha's website for some good tutorials. It depends so much on resources available to you that it's hard to say their is one right way to do it.

The front feet were carved from soft foam with a serrated kitchen knife and a large pair of scissors. As they were too small I bulked them up with 1/2 inch thick foam glued with a hot glue gun.

  • How much has the quad coated you so far?

  • @TheCinnamonVideos Hmm, I wouldn't want to say... or even think about it.
