@t35t3r I think it's obviously the other way around. I think you are overcome with Emily's beauty and aren't seeing what is really going on. This is not the first time I've seen her miss cues in the lead and I'm sure it won't be the last. The point is is that Edwin is a character type dancer; he may not be as refined and may even be a little tipsy here but at the end of the day she's not able to follow the lead because she is over spinning and not in tune with her partner.

@GIOJL No, first off, I AM from NYC, born and raised. Starlite is an amazing school but it isn't the end all be all of On2! Edwin is being a clown! He is Off and on I hear. I have danced with Emily before, multiple times and she is a sweetheart and follows amazingly and guess what?? Im not a performer and I can promise you that I don't dance like typical performers. The way you're defending Edwin.... hmmm, have you had a piece of Edwin before or something? Or just wanted a piece? Which is it?
-
@t35t3r I'm ROFL watching this because I can tell that he literally has to stop for her because she's not following the lead and it has nothing to do with him not giving the signals she's just not able to follow the cue unless it's baby fed. She's a gorgeous girl and looks nice on the stage but we see the same thing all the time, many stage dancers over trained in the studio can't follow a basic lead on the dance floor if it's not in there set familiar group of patterns.

@t35t3r Also dancing On2 is associated with and is considered the ny style therefore if you haven't lived it breathed it first hand in the city that never sleeps you should shut your uneducated trap because you don't have the first clue wtf your talking about.
-
@t35t3r ...how hot they may look they don't know the first thing about how to conform to a lead and the improvisation that goes hand in hand with a social dance. I have danced with Edwin and can tell you from personal experience that he is a very good leader and he is also a creative lead which unfortunately you overly schooled dancers can't handle.
-
@t35t3r first off Edwin is from NYC moron and was trained at Starlite dance studio in the Bronx which was owned by the founder of the NY Salsa Congress fyi. As far as conformity goes let me educate you on what dancing On2 is it's not the crap you see from these Overconformed performers who can't eve follow a lead...first and foremost his girlfriend who was having trouble following his lead in because it wasn't structured enough? no because stage dancers are weak social dancers no matter ...
-
Stop that right there. They've been dating ( and continue to) for some years now. He's just drunk or high ( on drugs or life)! Interpretive or not, a lead needs to conform to SOME kind of rules, or it ain't "dancing ON2."
