It was a stupid answer - and a stupid parable!
It's not tree's fault that it's out of season, it's the idiot who expects to have fruits all the time fault! So if Jesus had chosen this parable to make a point - it was a stupid choice! It only shows ignorance.

I don't need any mental gymnastics. I just read whats there...analyze the evidence..and if it adds up or makes sense..then fine. But the bible (like many religious texts) has an unbelieveable amount of contradictions and problems with it. And to believe that every single one is answerable through incredible amounts of shoehorning and mental gymnastics really does require a serious leap of faith. lol.

Did you not learn from your once complete bible reading that the Fig tree was used only as an instrument to represent the people Israel? What was done to the Fig tree, so too shall be done to Israel who is out of Season according to God's Commandments.

A parable huh? In other words you're saying that Jesus just pretended to be angry with the tree? And then he Killed it without stating his real reason in the hopes that at a later date someone would invent a parablistic reason for it and put it in revelation etc. Yeah right. LOL.
