In every religion the Golden Rule only applies to people of your faith. You are to kill, subjugate or convert all others. Here is Jesus:

2 John 1:9-11
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed

No, the golden rule is not a religious belief but it can be found in all religious beliefs as well as some secular philosophies which shows that is the only universally agreed-upon morality - despite all of our differences. Who thinks that rape, murder, theft, child abuse, torture, ill-treatment, genocide, etc. is okay (besides socio and psychopaths)? We can debate whether some things are immoral or not but who in their RIGHT MIND feels that these things are okay? The Golden Rule is the basis
