This recording is so beautiful and inspiring.
The tempo isn't really that slow. It is marked as Larghetto ( around mm. 40)
Some editions even say mm. 40 or less.

This is a bit slow, but some of you are commenting as if this Angela Hewitt is the same Angela Hewitt of today. She has gained thirty years of insight in the mean time. Check out her current Chopin recordings on the Hyperion label. They are amazing.

wow she might be the best interpreter of Chopin.
sometimes I hear someone play Chopin and the music doen't make sense.
This version makes me wnat to have a coffee and table talk with friends like Chopin himself was entertaning us,
