tell me about it......he added so much heat to the gpu and then he lift the board...im suprise the damn gpu did not slide off.....

Ma sarai invornito !?!?!?! Quando raggiungi il punto di fusione della lega saldante, basta il semplice flusso dell'aria per far volare qualche componente...e tu giri e rigiri la scheda e la sventoli come fosse una frittata...ma roba da matti...credevi di farti la messa in piega !?!?!?

@jonnyattack the graphics card has a thingy called power play. it will run faster if it is connected to a power source.

GPU reflow? more like the entire motherboard.
I'm speechless...can you at least explain why you are heating the entire motherboard?

hey my t41 is weird, when i removed the lcd and power it up, it worked but when i put the cable on, the machine turn on for a few seconds b4 turning off, i wonder why i did the reflow gpu thingy and its still the same, any suggestions??

My T42 has its video chip broken, can I try this?

well... it costs you a couple of hours, even if you have no idea like me! and yeah it worked my laptop is still u and runnin since then...

you could have burnt some plastic crap... i had to fix pins of the speakers coz i messed em up! well what i did is that i took hi res pic of the board BEFORE doing anything so that i could check where the mess was! ...if that dont help , well you had another problem!

Did you have to repeat this procedure after some time and do you use your t41 with great care or normal like before?
I have a t42 and it's sad that you obviously have to deal with it like an unboiled egg although it's a thinkpad! :(

Hei, well i havent had to repeat the procedure since the first time in july... is not that i take EXTRA care but before i just did not take any care at all, so now i keep it in its neoprene sleeve and pay attention not to bend it when is overheaten. Worked fine for 6 months up to now...
