The Iraqi soldiers mutinied and wouldn't fight and the Brits had to rush in and bail them out.
It's basic COIN 101 and I'm not surprised to see partisan Republicans masquerading as "non-partisans" try to spin this. Casualties don't count--popular support for those who resist the government counts. And the Iraqi government couldn't look worse than it does right now.
