Tempted S1 E14

Previously...

"You don't understand." He said, his back still towards me.
"Then enlighten me." I replied in a soothing tone. Before I could figure out what was going on his body had turned around and his right hand was on the back of my neck, his left pulling me in by my hip as as his lips crashed into mine.

Episode 14 (:

(Demi's POV)


Without thinking my lips began dancing along with his, my body intoxicated by his touch, his movements, his taste. My head was completely fogged and I failed to pull away until it was finally clear, "Joe..." I said, backing away from him. He slowly opened his eyes as he let out a deep breath.
"Demi, I--"
"What was that??" I asked.
"I can't stop thinking about that night." He said, scuffing his feet on the hardwood floors.
"Joe, I was drunk." I bit my lip, still confused as to what was going on around me.
"Can you honestly say you didn't feel anything?"
"Joe, I have a boyfriend..."
"You didn't the night we kissed." He replied.
"You're my bestfriend."
"So that's it...you can't ever see me as anything more?" He looked like a little boy who thought they were in trouble, so innocent and nervous.
"I--I..."
"I've never felt this way about anybody.." He said quietly, so quiet it was almost inaudible.
"And how do I know this isn't just you wanting to get in my pants?" I put my hands on my hips.
"It's not, trust me."
"How can I trust you when you kept this from me?"
"I couldn't tell you, D. And you have no idea how HARD it is seeing you with HIM."
I finally remembered Tony, who never kissed me like Joe just did. But this was weird..too weird. "Joe--"
"Demi, you don't understand. It's eating me up inside, the way I feel for you. I think it's always been there, I've just never acknowledged it before, I never knew it existed."
"And how do you feel about me?" I asked, scared of the answer.
"I'm...in love with you."
My hands immediately dropped from my hips, "You're ruining our friendship, Joey."
"I'm willing to risk it to have you, and don't you dare tell me you don't feel anything for me, I can tell with how you kissed me back just now. How you were when you were drunk, and they always say a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts. Or in your case, actions." He took a step towards me.
"That's just a silly saying." I replied.
"Tell me you don't see me as more than a friend, because I think you do." He took another step towards me, lifting my chin up with his middle and pointer finger.
I stepped closer to him. Everything was a ginormous blur, I had no idea what to say. I moved his wrist away from me and stood on my toes to kiss him lightly on his cheek, "I have a boyfriend. I'm sorry." And with that, I stepped around him and left his room, making my way to the front door as Nick and the girls sat in the living room. They had obviously heard everything because they were looking at me in astonishment, and Vicky looked angry as I grabbed Joe's car keys and left the apartment.

Oh and I wanna give y'all a huge THANK YOU and pat on the pack. Seriously y'all are amazing! You gave me way more comments on the last episode than I asked for. I signed on and in two days I had 16 more subscribers and thirteen comments on the last episode. You really made me want to change my story-line and plan for Tempted but I had to stay strong and stick with it! Haha [: I'm going to go write some Love Bites and I apologize this and Love Bites didn't come on yesterday like I said but I had a couple friends come over and they're moving so I had to say goodbye to them and I thought I'd have time to write but I didn't! Okay. Writing now even though I should be studying for exams. Thanks again and I love you all! Two more subscribers until 100, that means a marathon is in our midst! :D
