magnificent film,,,but the music is awful,sorry but its so mismatched from the film.

something a little softer and more romantic would have been sufficient.

or even the films original soundtrack!

But actually if you listen to the lyrics, it really does fit in with the two characters. I do agree with you though, that this is a magnificent film! =D

the best in this classic love story is the very beautiful geraldine fitzgerald. An irish actress who was nominated as best supporting actress for this, her first hollywood role. Miss fitzgerald deserves more recognition, a very talented human being. In this film..the best of all scenes is her fight with cathy, in her bedroom, and..her face, reflecting in a mirror, full of love for olivier. An irish beauty, forever in my heart. carlos

I bought mine on ebay and it came from Japan. Make sure it's a reigon 1 dvd compatable with our dvd players. My mom has found some old movies on ebay from japan that you cannot get in the US, and they would not play on our dvd player. So check for that. Also, it's a risk because being international sellers they are not bound by our trade laws, so if they don't send your item, it's tough luck. Check for number of sales and feedback. Good Luck! It"s Johnny Depp's favorite film.
