This JPS coloured MK3 Electric Start Roadster Commando was built by the Norvil Motorcycle Company who are based close to Birmingham, England (01543 278008 www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk). It is a Brand new MK3 Commando, registered on a 57 plate and we finished the build in December 2007 (it has been reviewed in Real Classic Magazine, January 2008 issue, so for the full story, check the mag out). The bike incorporates our new super powerful 4 brush electric starter motor, heavy duty leads, heavy duty battery and Pazon ignition.

At Norvil Motorcycles, all new and restored MK3 Commandos that we build incorporate the new technology that allow them to be started from cold on the button (from cold - turn on the fuel, tickle the carbs, turn on the ignition, press the button, rev and go).

This bike has been built with twin 12" lightweight brake disks and two lockheed racing calipers, this combo is truely awsome at stoping the bike, as demanded by todays modern day riding conditions.

The 4 brush starter motor has ball bearings for easy spinning, is O-ring sealed for better water exclusion, has a 9 tooth pinion that provides a 15.78 gear reduction ratio for an 11% improvement in torque over the 10 tooth prestolite, with the 14.2 gear reduction ratio. The starter motor is a bolt in interchange unit, our part number for the unit is 064791B.

If you want to know more about ordering a new or restored bike, or simply want information about having your MK3 modified to start as they were supposed to, please contact us on 01543 278008 or see our web site at www.norvilmotorcycle.co.uk where you will find over 4000 Norton spares listed.
