Part of "Song of Taliesin" soundtrack - the Pictish culture.
The Song of Taliesin is historical modification for game Mount & Blade set in 580 AD. This mod seeks to replicate the brutality, danger, and general atmosphere of the Dark Ages, an early period of Medieval. We are trying to make as historicaly accurate, as we can, to make an excellent springboard from many mods, which are not always accurate. Note that a lot of stuff in this period is strongly hypothetical - text sources tend to be very scant for these times. However archeology give us a lot of information, so it's our main source telling us, what happened after Romans withdrew from Britain.

The Bretons themselfs werent fully Romanized I mean you dont see the Welsh or Cornish speaking latin based languages both Welsh Cornish are bryttonic tongues. You also had Breton in Britania in France but those unfortnbly were massacred into submition until they only spoke French. Same thing with Welsh and Cornish but those manage to still regain some of their ethos from the English I think very little remains of Bretons.

@ShadowCompanySW About everything read doesnt make them anny different from rest of bretons only the big difference that they werent fully romanized and only had contacts with Roman World great contacts it went from obvious warfare to comerce and cultural exchanges is still amazes me how you find roman pottery coins and even strutures based on Roman models surely it wasnt pillage and altougth both cultures share warfare they also share culture. Our civ is heir of that.

@GLORD99092 actually no they were. Picts were my tribe, Brythonic later Britons. They spoke a similar language to Welsh. The Scotti that came from Ireland conquered them and made them move down into the old north.

The proof is in the blood.
Pictish DNA has shown that they were an early northern branch of (Paleolithic) Iberian ice age hunters. They are mostly related to the Basque poeple of northern Spain. So know just backtrack the Basque westward migration out of the Nile valley in N Africa. The rest is History,...
