@6sixsick Well, the thing is the band was at the point of an emotional break-up at this point, and so Thom Yorke was feeling really bummed out, because he took all the blame onto himself. But yeah, the rest of what you said I agree with.
-
"but have you ever had the idea of..."
the interviewer just completely ignored thom.
-
has the interviewer get the point of Thom's previous speech?? it's all about ART, not the artist's private life man..
-
anyone that thinks thom overreacted...you are the ones overreacting. he said it was nobodies business, the interviewer was not entitled to an answer, it was a personal question and thom did not want to answer it. simple as that...you move on to the next question then, the interviewer was being a jackass.
-
i don't think thom overreacted. it's not anybody's business what the band's difficulties were.
-
"its nobody's business" there, crystal clear. he didnt overreact, it was the interviewers fault for pressing the question, a question that wasnt so important that he had to keep pressing it. Thom told him to shut the fuck up because he needed to shut the fuck up, case closed.
-
I disagree. I don't think that Thom had overreacted. Sometimes when you want to stand your ground over a certain subject, certainly if it's personal, you have to bark at the scavengers to let them know that this is your part of the highway. Otherwise they will keep coming back.
-
Was that not a hiccup?
-
i noticed that too.

Notice at 0:45, he already knew where the interview was going. Brilliant.
but that's the thing, we dont NEED to know about the band's difficulties or anything, they're amazing musicians, and we've become fans of Radiohead because of their MUSIC, not the way they get along with each other or anything, the interviewer just wants to get stuff out of him to create gossip just like it happens with the more "popular" bands. That's what I love about Radiohead, they play music, and that's all you know about them. That's how it should be. Long live Radiohead.

those weren't stupid questions at all, it was just stupid that the interviewer persisted and didnt drop it and move on
