The baby gibbon we played with on Koh Samui island loved swinging around our arms like a little gymnast; she was very funny indeed

yes, we agree, but she was actually rescued by the elephant camp owners when her parents were killed by poachers. The poor animal would not have survived in the wild on her own, so she is being taken care of by the owners there.

yes, the gibbon's parents were killed by poachers. but not rescued by the elephant camp owners. they either bought it or are themselves the poachers.

the animal is being held and exploited for tourism illegally and should be confiscated by the police.

shame the police on ko samui do not enforce the laws.

there were 3 monkeys here 2 gibbons and one macak.. One gibbon was chained up as was the macak and the other gibbon was in a cage... the worst is in the evenings when they bring them round the busy bars and try to take pictures of you with them... just another money making thing to attrct tourism... not right really
