I don't have video of the recording session, but I do have the mp3.
This took about 7 hours over the course of 3 days to record. I figure each part out by ear, then record that part. I also do arranging on the spot.
This isn't the best recording, but as far as I know, it is the first of this kind on youtube of Gusty Garden.
Instrumentation.
Flutes. Because of volume and peaking issues.
9 1sts, 18 2nds. Recorded on a Geimindheardt. Or however you spell it.
Trumpets:
3 1sts, 3 2nds, 3 3rds, all on YTR-2335
Horns.
1 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd, 1 4th, all on Conn 8D. First and third on Bb, and Second and Fourth on F.
Trombones.
1 1st, 1 2nd, 1 3rd, 1 Bass, all on a King 6B
Tuba
1 uhh...tuba. On a downshifted King 6B. Because I don't have a tuba.
Strings
Strings 1 and 2 on a keyboard. On a YGP-625
Percussion.
Timpani, on a keyboard, snare, on an electric snare, and a cymbal. Good luck hearing it though. Timpani on a YGP-625, and the electric snare is something I rigged. Cymbal is on a pan.
Guitar.
Recorded slow on a keyboard, then sped up. It's almost impossible to record that rapid of keystrokes consistantly. For me, anyways. On a YGP-625.
Off tune and off sync... I give a thumb down this time, but what if you tried to remake this after 2 years? I'm sure you will do much better! Just learn from your mistakes and use garageband and headphones...

@TheMursk Well...If you tried to do ANYTHING on the comp I used for this, it would sound like crap...trust me(I did use headphones, but it is impossible to tune and synch yourself when you have to record each instrument solo because the comp can't process recording AND playing back at the same time). This was two years ago, before starting my junior year in high school. I am now technically a professional composer, who uses Logic Pro. Garageband...kind of sucks...Anyways, Thanks for watching.
