News on the 2nd public hearing of the Senate on the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill. The hearing held Jan.13 was led by Senate health committee chair Sen. Pia Cayetano, who was joined by Sen. Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. Correction: The news story mistakenly referred to Pro-life Foundation Pres. Eric Manalang as the resource person who engaged the two senators in a debate, but he was actually Prof. Willy Arcilla of the Pro-Life Coalition. (Aksyon, TV5, Jan. 13, 2011)

We need to reduce skyrocketing population growth which is unnecessary, and unsustainable! This has been going on for decades & finally we act. Family planning could bring more benifits to more people at less cost than any single technology available in human race. Raise standard of living, facilitate educational advancement & promote gender equity.

I think Senators Mirriam, Pia and including Bongbong are doing a phenomenal job! Pass the Rh bill now!

Life expectancy or uncontrolled breeding is up almost everywhere, nutrition has never been better and the proportion of the land used for agriculture is shrinking!

We're headed in deep trouble and large part of the population is going to starve to death while the rest of us experiencing skyrocketing food prices and shortages in coming years. A new understanding is needed. The population of this country cannot be supported any longer.
