[edit] Biography
At age 15, De la Fuente bagged the grand prize in the first singing contest she joined singing The Carpenters' "Love Me For What I Am." Renowned composer George Canseco, one of the judges, was impressed by her singing. He then gave her the first break by having her sing the jingle in a Hope cigarette commercial that became popular for its "imported" sound. By the encouragement of friends and family, she stalled her studies at University of the East to concentrate on her budding singing career.
At 19, De la Fuente married a man 10 years her senior. After strings of success, she decided to leave show business in her mid-20s. In 1993, she set up the King of Kings Transport, which had to fold up a few years later.
[edit] Businesswoman
In 1996, de la Fuente was elected president of Integrated Metropolitan Bus Operators Association, an association of bus operators whose members make up 70 percent of all bus operators in Metro Manila. In 2003, she made headlines when she spearheaded a boycott of the color-coding scheme that the MMDA had imposed for a week on all public utility vehicles as part of a traffic experiment, putting her at odds with the equally headstrong MMDA Chair Bayani Fernando.
She has been engaged in different business ventures related to transportation, fashion and cosmetics.
In 2006, her husband of more than 28 years, Moises (Boy) de Guzman, died of complications due to liver cancer. He left behind Claire together with their two sons, Gregorio and Gracielo.

Kaya for being a man, i am proud of him. fuck the society, they come to him. so he did what he had to do, but the trouble is his private collection got busted by bell and her daughter.
