The multi-layered music has been described as a combination of rock, pop and jazz with vocal melodies that flow nicely over the music. Special cameo appearances by notable musicians are on this album, including backing vocals by both Tamar Kaprelian (now an Interscope recording artist) and Quincy Coleman, bass by Ric Fierabracci (Chick Corea's Elektric Band, Andy Summers, Tom Jones), percussion by Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley) and Chris Wabich (Sting, Sheila E.), and flute/sax by Katisse Buckingham (Prince, Dr. Dre). The music is executed at the highest level with mixing by Grammy-winner Rich Breen and mastering by the former head of A&M Mastering, David Collins (mastered Chris Cornell and The Police albums).
