  • @redman68au A number of reasons why you need gloves. The etching cream is caustic in its packaged form, meaning the combination of chemicals it has out of the bottle is abrasive against certain things: glass and other porous surfaces ie: your skin, so it will hurt you. When it is washed off into the sink it is diluted, therefore eliminating the damaging effects of the solution and rendering it able to be flushed into your nearest water treatment facility or septic tank.

  • @TheJeniroo2 I dont think its electrical tape i think its painters masking tape the blue stuff is easy to remove if you used white you would need to scrape off and then scrub any tape or glue that did not come off.

  • is it blue electrical tape, or can you use any kind of tape? somebody please let me know before i buy this and ruin loads of projects by accident!

  • can you etch photos

  • wow, that's great. Im just curious what active chemicals does the paste have in it that etches the glass? Im taking for granted that washing it down the sink is of coarse harmless to the ocean where it obviously goes. Im sure it must be harmless because if your flushing it into the ocean then everyone else that does this process also washes it into the ocean there for it must be safe so why do you need gloves?

  • that is mazing
