The spirit of rock, whatever you make it out to be, is not preserved by posting some generic comment on a youtube video that you didn´t come up with by yourself. Furthermore, don´t render yourself blind to the great art found in genres such as rap music because of genre conventions, remember it was Aerosmith that did a colabo with RUN DMC. I recommend you don´t dismiss music because of a genre, you´ll miss out
