Paul Williams' 1973 Oscar-nominated ballad accompanied by scenes from 2004's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.
One of the best songs ever written! Paul Williams and John Williams are geniuses! What is the world going to do when they leave this earth???? The music of today is pre CRAP!!!

This is probably my favorite song of all time, by Paul Williams and John Williams. I think no matter who performs it, it's a classic. I first heard it in the movie Cinderella Liberty, back in the day, and fell in love with Toots Thielemans' harmonica and Paul Williams' touching voice. I love any version of it: Johnny Mathis, Earl Klugh, Maureen McGovern, Helen Reddy, etc, ad infinitum...
THANK YOU FOR POSTING! I've searched years for this song, and did not know the name of it! It was a very touching movie; the song made it so. Paul Williams is genius!!!
@lnsensei .. Yes, CINDERELLA LIBERTY was quite a film, easy, poignant, sentimental... and such a 70's feel to it. I miss it. Films like that in America are rare thse days. thank you for remembering.
