AFFECTOR -- "Harmagedon" (Album Teaser Compilation). Taken from the album "Harmagedon". InsideOut Music 2012.

"Harmagedon" features heavy riffs and lightning fast solos, but also softer and more fragile moments with soulful vocal harmonies, coming across like an open marriage between progressive rock/metal and orchestral minimalism.

For fans of Dream Theater, A.C.T., Symphony X, Darkwater, Queen or Rush.

Band members:
Collin Leijenaar (touring drummer for Neal Morse)
Daniel Fries
Ted Leonard (Enchant, Spock's Beard, Thought Chamber)
Mike LePond (Symphony X)
Guest keyboardists: Neal Morse, Alex Argento, Derek Sherinian (Black Country Communion, Planet X, ex-Dream Theater) and Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater).

Mixed and mastered at The Mouse House in Los Angeles by Rich Mouser (Spock's Beard / Transatlantic / Neal Morse)

Available as Ltd. Edition (special O-Card packaging) incl. two bonus tracks, Digital Download and Digital Download (HD audio) exclusive to iTunes.

Wrong. Sherinian's lead is at 3:45 and probably Neal's solo is at 4:02

When you consider that it's comprised of members of Spock's Beard, Neal Morse, and Symphony X, then your statement makes perfect sense if you think about it. It just shows how Dream Theater's influence has touched so many artists. And yeah, Jordan Rudess & Derek Sherinian are both on the album, too :)

It is just a sample. There is plenty melody and harmony...and nearly unparalleled shredding \m/ !

Will probably not get it! Sounds too much like rehashed DT! Very talented musicians though!
